‘Tis the season to cozy up with a hot toddy! This apple cider version is warm, sweet, buttery, and full of holiday spices. Imagine a caramel apple. Liquify it, liqueur it up, and get it warm and toasty. In other words, imagine the perfect boozy winter beverage. This is it.

Prep Time: 3 minutes
Cook Time: 7 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: 10 cups

Ingredients:
Half gallon apple cider
2 cups Applejack brandy (or to taste)
3 cinnamon sticks
8 cloves
8 green cardamom pods
¼ cup salted caramel (*can be made ahead)

Preparation:

  1. In a large pot, combine the apple cider, brandy, cinnamon sticks (crush them to get more flavor out of them) and cloves. Smash cardamom pods open with the flat side of your knife (just like smashing garlic), and add them to the pot. Stir in the caramel sauce.
  2. Bring to a simmer and serve while hot. Feel warm and cozy all over, maybe find some mistletoe to stand under.
