How to Pit and Peel an Avocadofeatured

I recently learned a *new trick* on how to pit and peel an avocado (like a boss).

It’s the easiest thing ever, and it has its benefits. Never again will you risk losing a finger with that old hack-at-the-pit method. And, never again will you scrape at half an avocado with a spoon.

Ready for your tutorial? It’s as easy as 1-2-3:

How to Pit and Peel an Avocado

  1. Cut the avocado into quarters by cross-sectioning it lengthwise.
  2. Break it apart and remove the pit (easy, huh?!)
  3. Peel the skin off like a banana from top to bottom.

If your avocado is ripe, the peel will come right off. All the nutrients are in that bright green part closest to the peel. Using this peeling method, you’ll get all of it — no scraping required!

Is it me, or do you just want to make a BIG bowl of guacamole now?
