Bing Licks My Spoon all over Midtown {NYC}featured

Ciao Amori!

A little intermezzo from my coverage of all the ri-dic-u-lous food I’ve been eating here in Italia to share something I’m very excited about!

Before taking off on my Italian adventure I shot a video with Bing to show how my friends and trusted foodie cognoscenti keep me informed and well-fed.

The Bing crew followed me as I wandered NYC snipering shots of pretty produce and caught me on film chowing down.

ACE Hotel NYC

Our meeting room at the ACE Hotel. Fittingly, it appears as if we got the pizza room.

We started out at the uber-trendy ACE Hotel where we filmed the interview portion of the video. I had never actually been inside the hotel before, although I’m a fan of Stumptown Coffee Roasters, which is located right next door. Stumptown makes a mean iced coffee…and I’ll admit, I have a total girl crush on the barrista. Such style.

The line for your caffeine fix is usually long, but you can pass the time admiring the plethora of interesting tats and hipster-chic fashion that abounds in this place.

EATALY NYC

EATALY NYC

After ACE we headed to one of my new favorite places in NYC: EATALY! The spot is Mario Batali’s latest venture. When you walk in, you are immediately transported to another world. It is a food lover’s playground. There are aisles upon aisles of specialty food items imported from Italy, different areas to buy seafood, fresh bread, homemade pasta, salumi, cheese, AND more areas to sit down and eat, as well as a rooftop beer garden. I could spend an entire day here.

After grazing through all the food porn at EATALY we hit up Food Gallery 32 in Koreatown where we met up with one of my favorite eating partners, my dear friend Maisie. We were transported once again to another world — this time to a food court mall in Asia. Korean pop music videos played on the flat screen TVs and colorful cartoon graffiti decorated the walls. We ate some fantastic bibimbap, galbi shortribs, and fried pork and chive dumplings. Next time, I’m for sure saving some room for a dessert crepe with ice cream and azuki beans!

I had a blast shooting the video — Peep it. Share it. Love it 🙂
