Oh.My.Agod.

Oh.My.Agod.

Your eyes do not deceive you. Those are Animal-Style FRIES from In-N-Out Burger!!!!

Arghhhaghhhhh! I mean….Wow. Does that not just blow your mind?

I owe this epic discovery to Scranto.

This past weekend, driving home from beautiful Tahoe, our resident Playa of the Year (that’s 2 years in a row fellas — watch out) made the customary stop off at In-N-Out to soothe our broken bodies and hungover souls.

Now, it’s pretty much standard knowledge that the go-to order here is the “secret” off-the-menu item: Cheeseburger, Animal-style. For animal virgins, “Animal-style” simply means that your burger is topped with finely diced fried onions and a deliciously creamy, ketchup/mayo-based special sauce.

What I didn’t know until last weekend…was that you can order your FRIES Animal-style as well! Yes, your wildest fantasies have come true. Your crispy, fresh-cut potatoes can be smothered in melted cheese, fried onion confetti, and magical special sauce.

There you have it, folks. Get animalistic with me.

  2. This is a sign: I first heard about ‘animal-style’ fries just a day ago from another blogger and now you’ve confirmed that it does indeed exist in true-life, delicious form! I was happy enough just to have finally eaten at an In-N-Out; now, I’ve got an excuse to start plotting a return to CA just for this.

I think this is one of those wonderful cases where the worse a food looks, the better it tastes! :P I made it a mission on my first solo trip to the US two years ago to try In-N-Out, and despite not being a burger lover, it was certainly quite good! Wish I’d known about these fries, though…
