Green Beer Marshmallows Giveaway!
Saturday, March 12, 2011Taking a cue from the emerald transformation of the Chicago River every year, Chi-town-based confectioner, Nicole Greene of truffle truffle, has turned her Beer and Pretzel Marshmallows green for St. Patrick’s Day!
Her Green Beer O’Mallows feature a thick, beer foamy marshmallow dipped in milk chocolate, and topped with beer & pretzel brittle bits. Oh, and they are also decked out in lucky Shamrock confetti flair.
As if it could get any better, a percentage of proceeds from the sale of these treats will benefit Gateway Green’s Tree Partnership Program, dedicated to converting abandoned lots into community green spaces to beautify Chicago’s neighborhoods.
It’s all enough to make a leprechaun dance.
All of truffle truffle’s items are made from scratch and to order. (No skunky beer here.)
Quite the contrary, all of the Beer & Pretzel goodies are made with Rogue’s Chocolate Stout, the perfect handcrafted beer for these confections.
The Beer & Pretzel Brittle is made of a toffee brittle infused with the chocolate stout, then coated in milk chocolate and sprinkled with crushed salted pretzels.
The Beer & Pretzel Truffles feature a milk chocolate and chocolate stout ganache, enrobed in milk chocolate and rolled in crushed salted pretzels.
The stout flavor is these treats is subtle…just a touch of roasted malt flavor to bring out the sweet chocolate and salty pretzel crunchies.
Today, we’re giving away a St. Patty’s Day Beer & Pretzel package from truffle truffle (Green Beer O’Mallows 4-pc box, Beer & Pretzle Brittle Bits 6-oz bag, and Beer & Pretzel Truffles 4-pc box). To win this giveaway, simply leave a comment below about your favorite pairings (i.e. pb&j, milk & cookies, green eggs & ham, you get the idea).
Giveaway deadline is St. Patty’s Day, Thursday 3/17, 11:59 pm PST. (Contest is open to US residents only. Winner will be selected by a random number generator.)
Disclosure: This giveaway was made possible via a giveaway donation by truffle truffle.
