It seems that Bacon was voted Prom Queen of the food world lately. It’s everywhere, and people are lovin it. Bacon infused chocolates, bacon topped cupcakes, even bacon flavored lip balm!

I read the other day on Eat Me Daily that Jason Day and Aaron Chronister, the masterminds behind the infamous Bacon Explosion (a “torpedo-shaped amalgamation of two pounds of bacon woven through and around two pounds of sausage and slathered in barbecue sauce,” as aptly described by The NY Times), just got offered a SIX-FIGURE book deal. Scribner, a division of Simon and Schuster, will be bringing Barbecue Makes Everything Better to a bookstore near you.
Congrats Jason and Aaron! Live the dream boys, live the bacon dream.

Love the name of this posting, you should sooooo try some bacon from the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse, in Fayetteville, AR! It has the best bacon I’ve ever had!
Once it comes out, that book is going to be the perfect gift for my husband. (Not that I necessarily want to encourage his bacon obsession . . . )
